Marantz model 7T preamplifier in excellent condition with optional wood cabinet. Rare U.S. manufactured model. This unit has been serviced and fully tested. Our original Performance Verification Report and a copy of the owner's manual are included.
An original box for the model 7 is also included. It is not original to this unit, in fact we don't know if it's a box for the model 7T or model 7C but it's included just the same.
(Tech's Note: the Model 7T is a significant piece of Marantz history. The unit is all hand wired with precision components and selected transistors. A note affixed to the power transformer states "Each transistor has been selected and positioned for optimum performance in the circuit. Interchanging positions may degrade performance". The Model 7T is at par with, or arguably ahead of, McIntosh of the era. All I did to this beauty is replace the electrolytics in the power supply and the electrolytics in the output coupling stages. Oh, and, it sounds wonderful.)
