McIntosh MAC-1700 receiver in excellent condition. This is a hybrid receiver, featuring a tube FM tuner section and a solid state preamp/amp section. If you're lucky enough to live within range of a good jazz or classical FM station, you'll really appreciate this combination of warmth and power. It's rated at 40 watts RMS into 8 ohms. Lettering is 100%. Acquired form the original owner, this MAC-1700 includes the optional wood cabinet, a copy of the owner's manual and several original documents pertaining to the unit. It has been serviced and aligned. Our original Performance Verification Report included. The power switch, which is integrated into the volume control, is prone to failure and this example is no exception. The power switch has been bypassed (original part is no longer available). This simply means that you must control the power to the unit with an external device such as a power strip or wall switch.
